Strips and separates labels and loose foreign matter from PET bottles and preforms by friction/impact.

A label remover (delabeler) rotates bottles at high speed, rubbing them against each other and against the housing to tear off the labels and loose foreign matter; the separated labels are then removed by air flow or a screen. It is the pre-separation stage of the PET recycling line.
The label remover (delabeler) unit sits at the start of the PET bottle line; before bale opening and crushing, it removes labels from the bottles in a dry process. Removing the label early improves washing efficiency and the purity of the final flake; it is most often used in PET recycling plants.
