Roughly cleans crushed plastic through pre-washing; separates coarse dirt such as dust, soil and sand, and light foreign matter, from the water.
The pre-washing unit washes the flakes after crushing with water and mechanical action, removing surface dust, soil, sand and loose dirt. Heavy dirt settles to the bottom, while light foreign matter is floated off and removed. It is the first washing step that boosts the efficiency of hot washing and the subsequent stages.
Pre-washing comes after size reduction (crushing / shredding) and before hot washing. Removing coarse dirt, stones, soil and heavy contaminants at this stage reduces the load, water and chemical consumption of the subsequent washing steps.
