Mechanically removes a high proportion of the water from film and soft plastic through screw (auger) compression.
The screw press compresses washed film/soft plastic with an auger inside a tapering barrel, forcefully pressing the water out. By substantially lowering the moisture before thermal drying, it reduces energy consumption.
The screw press (screw squeezing) removes most of the water by mechanical pressure after washing, especially for film and lightweight materials. At the outlet the material is ready for mechanical/thermal drying; it is widely used in LDPE/film washing lines.
