Mechanically removes the surface water from washed plastic flakes using a high-speed rotor and screen; it is the drying stage of the washing line.

The mechanical (centrifugal) dryer spins the washed flakes at high speed inside a vertical body, throwing the surface water out through the screen by centrifugal force. This brings the flakes to a moisture level suitable for pelletizing or subsequent processing.
Mechanical drying comes after the washing stages (hot washing, friction washing) and lowers the moisture content of the flakes by spinning off the surface water at high speed. It is positioned together with the screw press to mechanically remove the bulk of the water.
